Community Mental Health Authority Public Hearings
Motion:To approve the Resolution authorizing the scheduling of three public hearings to engage the public on the possible creation of a Community Mental Health Authority in Ottawa County.
This motion passed 6-5.
I voted against this motion because ultimately I do not believe that enough compelling evidence has been brought forward at this point in time to justify switching to an Authority.
The three public hearings have been scheduled as follows:
* Monday, January 19 at 6 p.m. at Spring Lake Community Center
* Tuesday, January 20 at 6 p.m. at Georgetown Library
* Thursday, February 6 at 6 p.m. at the Ottawa County Public Health Dept. on James Street in the Main Conference Room
