The ultimate purpose of government is to protect and to secure the rights of its citizens. Not just when things are going well. All the time.

Last night, the same month we voted in as a month to recognize our Veterans – our Heroes of Freedom, and shortly after celebrating 249th Independence Day as a country, the Board of Commissioners voted 7-4 to eliminate our county motto, “Where Freedom Rings.”

I find it telling from those who say the past Board didn’t protect the “feelings” of freedom for all. Feelings, not facts. It’s based on lies spread from false narratives from 100’s of hit pieces, many of them from the Holland Sentinel from 2023-2024. The main writer for those hit pieces, Ms. Leach, got fired for ethical reasons in 2024, after her role in riling up a community was accomplished.
Because securing freedom for its citizens is the ultimate goal of government, and the main reason I ran for office in 2022 and 2024, I will be making more posts on this subject.
