County Administrator Search Update as of Tuesday night, June 10…
Last week with a 7-4 vote, the Board of Commissioners voted for Double Haul’s top 5 candidates. Over the weekend, those candidates were contacted and two of them chose to drop out of the process.
Three candidates remained who agreed to be interviewed this week – Mark Eisenbarth, Glen Salyer, and Michael Tremblay. I was told today by Interim Administrator Gary Rosema during the Finance and Administration Committee meeting that Glen Salyer has also withdrawn from consideration for the Administrator position.
As of this evening, Mark Eisenbarth also withdrew his name.
With one final candidate left, tomorrow’s interviews with the Citizen Work Group and the public meet-and-greet have been canceled.
As of this writing, the County has shared that the final candidate, Michael Tremblay, will have a public in-person interview with the Board of Commissioners on Thursday, June 12, at 9:00AM, in the Board Room at the Administration Building. This meeting will also be streamed live.
Personally, I believe the Board should pause the process and I look forward to having discussion about this on Thursday.
If you feel led, I ask for continued prayers on behalf of our county, the Board as individuals, and as a whole group working on behalf of our community.
